This product is a high-power LED module on an aluminium circuit board, equipped with 12 LEDs from ams OSRAM (Oslon Black series) and delivering 23.52 W of power consumption.
The PowerBar V3 is our platform for applications that need a lot of light per square metre: plant growth, industrial and machine lighting, medical devices, architectural floodlighting and high-output spotlights. The metal-core board is the key component here. It carries the heat of twelve high-power LEDs straight into the heat sink, which keeps the junction temperature low enough to drive them at 700 mA and beyond without sacrificing lifetime. An NTC resistor is fitted on the board so that an external control unit can monitor the temperature.
The bar consists of twelve connected segments that can be separated with a saw, so a shorter module can be produced from stock without a custom order. Terminals on the first and last segment allow a solderless connection. Mounting holes for lenses are part of the board layout, and a wide range of LEDiL and Carclo optics is compatible, which turns the same module into a narrow spot or a wide flood depending on the optic chosen.
Matching accessories are available for the complete system, including heat sink, thermally conductive adhesive pad, mounting clips, rod lenses and covers, so a finished luminaire can be assembled from stock components.
Why we build with ams OSRAM LEDs
ams OSRAM is a European semiconductor manufacturer with a long track record in high-power LEDs, and the OSLON family is one of the most widely used high-power platforms in professional lighting. OSLON packages are built for high drive currents and demanding thermal conditions, with ceramic substrates and reliability data from automotive and industrial qualification programmes. That makes them a natural choice wherever a lot of optical power has to come out of a very small emitting surface.
Made in Germany – for reliable quality
This Lumistrips light engine is developed and manufactured at our production site in Germany. The PCB assembly is produced on controlled SMD equipment and the finished unit is visually inspected and electrically tested. We use specified, traceable emitter components and defined production parameters so that electrical load, wavelength and radiant output start from a repeatable, documented design.
For UV and infrared products, semiconductor ageing and radiant-output depreciation are normal and depend strongly on junction temperature, drive current and operating conditions. Controlled PCB design, assembly and testing do not remove that ageing; they make the starting performance repeatable and help the product operate within its specified electrical, thermal and lifetime limits. That is the practical difference between a professional light engine and an anonymous module selected only by nominal wavelength.
