Shipping, Delivery & Returns Policy – Lumistrips US

Shipping and Delivery

The costs for shipping and delivery include internet order processing, item selection, packaging, transport and handling. We don’t guarantee delivery times, but we do our best to provide accurate estimates.

Deliveries occur only on weekdays from our warehouse in Germany. Shipping and Delivery charges are subject to change and are determined when you order. Estimated delivery time assumes orders are placed before 12:00 noon (GMT). Orders you place with Lumistrips late on Friday or on Saturday will not be processed until Monday. Charges may be added to orders with Priority, Overnight and International shipping if we try unsuccessfully to deliver your order more than once. 

Update August 2025: Shipping to the USA is only possible with UPS Express, due to the end of the US $800 de minimis rule for small parcels.

For delivery outside the European Union, we ship with CIP incoterms. The buyer is responsible for paying import customs clearance or import duties.

Returns and Replacements

We want you to be completely happy with your Lumistrips order. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we will gladly accept your timely return purchased products, based on the below conditions and details.

  • If you are a private customer, you may return any item purchased from Lumistrips.com, within 30 days from the shipping date, for orders of maximum $500.
  • Delivery costs are not refundable. 

  • Delivery costs for orders sent with free or reduced shipping will be deducted from your refund in an equal amount to the actual shipping cost. We will inform you of the amount when we receive your return. For the standard DHL shipping they are, usually, in the 30-50$ range.

  • If you want to return an item, please e-mail us at [email protected], please provide the following information: Client name, invoice number, and whether the packaging has been opened or is sealed.
  • After you receive our approval via e-mail, all you need to do is pack the item and ship it to one of our return addresses: Germany (Brunnenstrabe Street 14, 72379 Hechingen) 
  • Shipping cost to return the items is supported by you. We recommend not to use expensive shipping methods unless it is really necessary. For returns from outside the European Union, the shipping must be made with Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) Incoterm rules.

  • All returns must be 100% complete and, in the case of function items, in the best possible condition, contain all original boxes and packing material, have original codes on the manufacturers boxes, contain all blank warranty cards, accessories and documentation provided by the manufacturer. Incomplete returns may be returned to sender or subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee.
  • Refunds need up to 4 weeks for processing. 
 No fees for returns of products with the value of less than $500. A 25% restocking fee will be applied to all returns from private customers which have a value of more than $500. No refunds after 45 days. 

 

Non-Returnable Products

Please note the following products cannot be returned:

  • Discontinued items
  • Custom-built items
  • Units in an unsuitable resale condition
  • Batteries
  • Closeout, remanufactured and refurbished products

 

Cancellation of orders not shipped yet 

You can get a full refund if we do not ship (dispatch) you within 7 working days from the date you made payment. Refunds need 4 weeks for processing. 

 

Important information

  • If there are products which we cannot deliver in time, we will send you a delivery time update via e-mail within 7 working days.
  • For privacy concerns, we do not provide your email address to the shipping company. To track your order, you can use the tracking info provided via email, once your order is shipped. You may subscribe on your own to email updates on the shipping company website.
  • For privacy concerns, we do not automatically subscribe you to receive SMS messages from the shipping company, about the status of your parcel. You can subscribe on your own, on the shipping company website.
  • For a missed delivery from Germany with DHL (you refuse the parcel, do not pick it up, are not found at the delivery address or the shipping address is wrong) you will be charged further with 60 USD. Also, shipping costs to send the items to you must be paid again. In case of Express shipping, the charges will be communicated via email.
  • While we do our best to process and ship your orders in the shortest time possible, delays of a few days can occur. If you wish to receive your order as soon as possible, please choose Express Delivery methods, as shown in the shopping cart.

Refund method and charges

We will issue your refund based on the payment method you used. In case of bank transfer or credit card refunds, Lumistrips.com will not cover any transfer charges as those requested by your bank for money transactions.

 

Order validity

An order is not binding upon Lumistrips.com until it is accepted; Lumistrips.com must receive payment before it will accept an order. Payment for product(s) ordered is due before shipment

 

Losses from delays

Lumistrips.com will advise its customer of estimated shipping dates, but Lumistrips.com will, under no circumstances, be responsible for any costs and associated caused by delays in delivery.

 

Information about order status

Lumistrips.com will keep you informed of your order status via e-mail. All tracking information will be emailed to your address used to create your Lumistrips.com account. You may also see your order status and other live updates by logging in to your account on our Website.
