This product is a high-power UV-A LED module on an aluminium circuit board. It carries 12 LEDs from Seoul Viosys and delivers a radiant power of 5040 mW at a peak wavelength of 365 nm and 10.8 W of power consumption.
UV-A radiation around 365 nm is the working range for UV curing, fluorescence excitation and inspection. Unlike a mercury lamp, an LED array reaches full output instantly, can be switched and dimmed without any warm-up, produces its radiation in a narrow band instead of a broad spectrum with unwanted heat, and contains no mercury at all. For a production line that means shorter cycle times and far simpler handling.
The aluminium-core board is essential at this power level: UV LEDs convert a large part of the input power into heat, and their radiant output drops measurably as the junction temperature rises. The metal-core design keeps that temperature under control and therefore keeps the radiant power where the datasheet says it should be. An NTC resistor allows external temperature monitoring. The module is divisible into segments and accepts UV-rated LEDiL optics for a defined beam.
About Seoul Viosys
Seoul Viosys is the compound-semiconductor arm of the Seoul Semiconductor group and one of the established suppliers of UV LED technology, marketed under the Violeds name. Its UV-A, UV-B and UV-C packages are used in disinfection, curing, medical and analytical equipment, and the company publishes detailed radiometric and lifetime data for each package. Buying a branded UV LED matters more than in the white-light world: deep-UV output degrades measurably over time, and only a manufacturer that documents that degradation lets you design a system with a defined service interval.
Made in Germany – for reliable quality
This Lumistrips light engine is developed and manufactured at our production site in Germany. The PCB assembly is produced on controlled SMD equipment and the finished unit is visually inspected and electrically tested. We use specified, traceable emitter components and defined production parameters so that electrical load, wavelength and radiant output start from a repeatable, documented design.
For UV and infrared products, semiconductor ageing and radiant-output depreciation are normal and depend strongly on junction temperature, drive current and operating conditions. Controlled PCB design, assembly and testing do not remove that ageing; they make the starting performance repeatable and help the product operate within its specified electrical, thermal and lifetime limits. That is the practical difference between a professional light engine and an anonymous module selected only by nominal wavelength.
